Default Can you patch a drag radial?

I went outside yesterday and found one of my new NT05R, less than 900miles, is flat as a pancake. Ugh!

I haven't taken the tire off yet to see where the whole is.

Can you have a drag radial patched? Not plugged patched.

If it was an ET street or something like that I could see where it wouldn't work but these NT05R's are basically a regular tire.

Thanks!

Yes you can.

Probably within 2 weeks of getting my new 555r's on I ran over a nail.

I got it patched and i havent had a problem for the last 13,000 miles or so.

x2. mine only lasted about 2k miles at most lol but they did massive burnouts and quite a few 1/4 mile passes... patch it up!

and yes you're correct, a radial can be patched cause it is just like any other tire, the compound is all that's different so no biggy.

I have Nitto 555r 315/35/17. There are DR's that hook a lot better, but i have only been to the track one time since i have owned my car. I do a lot of low rolls and they hook amazingly for the amount of power im making at around 25 or 30 mph plus the added benefit of they last a pretty good while running on the street.

yea if you have them for the street they are great, they're not bad at the track by any means but they like a LOT of heat which means big long burnouts lol. They werent too bad overall, i just can't justify spending 400 bucks on a pair of tires and smoking the hell out of them, especially when i work at Discount Tire... lol. free used tires FTW
