exhaust manifold questions
Hello All.
I just picked up a set of new ls2 2005-2009 corvette manifolds.
I'm planning on put them on my 2008 5.3L engine that I pulled
a 2008 sierra 1500 4x4 truck.
Should I use the corvette manifold gasket or the truck gasket?
Also I would like to make these exhaust manifold's look nice...
Should I just paint them black with a spray can of grill paint from the
hardware store. Or has anyone powercoated thier manifolds? and if so how did it hold up?
thanks,

ps. did use the search button.

If budget allows, you could send them out to be "Jet-Hot" coated !
http://www.jet-hot.com/
They will get WAY too hot for powder-coat and "grill paint".

I would use the 5.3 gaskets since that's what your engine is. I believe FelPro makes some that fit most Gen III & Gen IV engines. $14
As for the paint...IDK if the grill paint will hold up. The last thing you want is to have your manifolds chipping. Idk how hot they get but there are powdercoats that withstand up to 800 degrees.
