Default Changing exhaust system setup on 402 LS2. Need opinions.

Motor break-in is almost done and I'm ready to get it dyno tuned, but would like to know what you guys think of my exhaust setup. I should be able to reach the 500rwhp mark with my setup. Motor is a 402 stroker LS2 with 11.3:1 compression.

I have 1 3/4" headers.
3" Y-pipe into a 3.5" single exit exhaust system with a Moroso Spiral muffler.

My question is about my piping size and muffler choice mainly. Thanks for your time.

Search is your friend

I picked up a significant amount of power upgrading to 1 7/8 headers and 4" Mufflex exhaust with my stroker..somewhere in the 35rwhp/40rwtq range (tweaked some other things too)

The 17/8" headers and true duals would help. The easy fix would be the headers and a Borla XR 1 muffler with a cut out.

You're definitely going to benefit from going to slightly larger primaries and a true-dual/4"/cutout...especially up top.

I'd go with 1 7/8 primaries, dual with xpipe and a nice straight through muffler.

Yep, like everyone else says. Easy gains by 1(7/8)" headers like TSPs, into some true duals, again like TSPs

Y the header pipes into a 3.5 or 4 inch single back to one large or two smaller mufflers at the rear of the car.
