newbie with mods = dangerous
So in a few weeks im getting:
-Kooks long tubes
-Offroad Y
-Comp 228/234 .58 .59 112lsa
-Springs/Rods
-P.I. 3200 Stall
-Trans Cooler
-Oil Pump
-MSD wires
-555 plugs
-K&N filter
Some of that is just basic maintenance because as far as I know its never been replaced and I figured, couldn't hurt. I already have a lid, SLP cat-back, Smooth bellow. My current K&N is shot, that's why im replacing it. Anyways, any opinions on other stuff I may need to look into/replace?

Sweet! Sounds like it will be a fun build in the garage, although from the looks of your sig your running a loudmouth exhaust. I hope you like waking the dead loud, lol. So where in Arkansas you live. I lived in Cabot for 25 years. I live in Olympia Washington now thanks to the Army.

Motor mount. Keeps you y pipe from banging your floorboard. And I think you are good for power lol. I would look into trying to keep the tires on the pavement with Lower control arms and look into a torque arm. You're going to want to upgrade the suspension with all that ******* power

dont replace your K&N, just get a wix filter. just do some research and youll understand. when you do the cam swap use any regular oil and filter, change the oil after 500-1000 miles and then put in any oil of your choice.
just my 2cents.

I don't understand why you would put a Wix filter in a high performance car; K&N and Airaid make amazing filters with million mile warranties; the filter will last longer than your car and provide more power with still great filtering characteristics.
I say do the M6 swap. Transmissions are pricey though-I got my rebuilt T56 for $1,200 dollars. If you have the know how and the money, I think you will be very happy with that decision!
Your new mods sound awesome and I bet you're gonna have a blast, and congratulations! Be careful

And why would they not increase performance on an fbody setup...if they increase the amount of air that is being brought into the engine, then more power can be made.
And what do you mean MAF reading? Are you referring to the rumor of the oil coating the air intake sensor?
And yeah I know Wix obviously has a very good reputation.
I'm not trying to say you're wrong, just discussing

Please don't start the k&n vs paper filter debate lol. I've read all on here and its Pretty back and forth. But most people say the k&n lets in more dirt and the oil coats everything blah. I was thinking of going with that amsoil filter..no oil, but its also cleanable with compressed air so no need to replace all the time. Any thoughts?

First, congrats on your mod list.
Depending on your long-term goals, you will be amazed what a set of nice heads will do to wake up what you already have going in. If you decide to go with heads, don't do it without at least saving up to swap the intake too -- the LS6 is the budget option and is effective; the FAST products are considerably more expensive but would net you more gains up top.
Other thoughts: A gear swap that compliments your cam and stall (likely 3.73's in your automatic). Sticky tires.
After all of that, you should be putting enough down to tear up the 10-bolt rear end and perhaps the tranny! HAHA! Those are really the only two big "pain points" you'll have to address in the future.
