Wassup guys, right now I'm considering installing headers on my 2002 z28 m6 and I was just wondering if you guys had any recommendations on a manufacturer or website that I should purchase from.

Thanks alot everyone,

If your looking for an inexpensive set that fits fine, a ton of guys use the pacesetters. Look iup Texas speed and performance, they sell em, and other sizes and sets.

Depends on your budget. If you're a cheap bastard like me get the coated pacesetters. If you're Oprah rich get the ARH or Kooks stainless headers. BTW make sure you get long tubes too. I am going with coated pacesetters and the texas speed catted y pipe for my car.

thanks alot for the advice guys. I'm not much of a mechanic, is it risky to try the installation myself or should I just bring it to my friends shop and pay for the work.

I got the SLP longtubes. Good price and they went in without having to loosen the motor mounts or anything, just needed a good push and they slipped in. You might wanna go ahead and change your plugs while the headers are out. Makes life a lot easier. Just be careful not to break any off when putting the new headers in.

I'm getting pacesetters but I live in the city, which means real bad winters, would need stainless steal but damn those stainless steals are expensive (Kooks, ARH). I would fucks with Hooker stainless steal but heard Hookers suck now.

I have no real complaints about my painted Pacesetters. Slid right in. Lots of exhaust ticking though, probably because they're thin and uncoated. There are no leaks.

I love my BBK LTs for the price. And the install was easy and customer service was great when I emailed some questions...I even got pulled over just tonight on my way to work. Female cop and shes like "how old are you? this car is gorgeous and it sounds amazing. make sure you keep doing the speed limit, have a good night"

Kooks!

This. I am from New York as well, and after storing my car all winter, there is some rust starting on my TSP headers. I am pissed I did not go with a stainless header now.

your in the north east so do it right the first time stainless steel qtp, kooks, lpp, arh, one of them and be done with it. Trust me I was in the same spot as you last summer. Do it yourself its not hard and you'll learn alot about your car.

I'm from Buffalo, NY and unless you don't ever drive your car in bad weather, go with stainless for real. Hell, I live in Virginia now and with the rain we get i'd still go with stainless. I would go with ceramic IF the ceramic is very good and I don't think Pacesetter is quite there yet. Not sure if anyone is.

go with ARH or KOOKS and be done.

x2. Spend the money the first time around and do it right instead of changing shit out 6 times just to end up spending the same amount in the end. Just my .02

Really just depends on how deep your pockets are...or if your like me.

My engine bay is not super clean, my car is not perfect..I could care less about aesthetics I just wanna go fast. I have always used painted pacesetters and never had any problems..fit just fine.
