Default Difference between vert and t-top monsoon amp?

Title says it. Is there a difference? Since the speaker setup is a little bit different I wondered if maybe the amp is different too.

Yes, the amp is different. Both Camaro and Firebird convertibles have all speakers powered by the Monsoon amp (Firebird coupes have the tweeters powered by the head unit). There are no subs in convertibles as there are in coupes so the signal filtering done by the amp is different. There is more information in the Monsoon FAQ sticky at the top of the section.

^^^ Would you happen to have specs for the vert amp? Looked in the sticky and couldn't find it, only specs for the t-top amp.

What kind of specs? The overall system specs (output power, channels, etc.) are the same as a coupe.

Guess I misunderstood, I thought you said the amps were different. So I thought maybe the specs would be different as well.

They are different in terms of internal wiring and how the output channels are configured. But they have the same specs - four channel speaker-level input, eight channel amplified output, about 240 watts RMS (GM rated 500 watts peak), same physical size, same wiring connector, etc.

Some of the differences are related to the different speaker usage (no subs, four sets of components, etc.). The other differences are internal things that GM doesn't publish any details about. Exactly what is the balance of power between each of the eight channels? What frequencies are filtered to each of the channels?
