So im tired of my car not pulling hard in 1st gear, so i am really in need of 373s does anyone have any specific kits out there that are good, and if i can get away wit just a gear swap and seals etc ill be happy, or is it necessary to change the carrier as well? car is only street driving, just wanna get all the right parts the first time

well, from what I read going from 3.42's to 3.73's isn't going to be a noticeable difference. and considering how the rears arn't the strong point of an f-body it's usually not viewed as a good idea to upgrade the stock rear end.
That aside if you have a M6 i'd probably go 4.10, you got a 6th gear so it'd be ok on the highway!

yea i hear ya, but i also heard that going wit a 4.10 increases ur chances of breaking the rear even more??

I went 3:90 and then 3:73, you will notice a difference with an M6. That said, 3:90 and especially 4:10 you will be shifting more often even with conservative driving if thats your preference? Max torque is at 4,000 rpm for a stock LS1, you get there fast over 3:73 IMHO. BTW, I noticed you are running M/T drag radials, hooking up with the 10 bolt is asking for breakage.

I just got the motive 3.73s installed in my car, I really like it, its not to much shifting, and I can tell a difference down low.

The 3:90 were Motive, the 3:73 are AAM, both from Jaws Gear. (oh, guess you were asking sokr915, 3:90 had me breaking loose in 2nd!)

I've had 4:56s, 4:10s, and now 3:75s. The 4:10s I had in my ten bolt were really fun. Although it is quite a bit of shifting. Pretty much going to be hitting fifth where ever you go. I used 5th for 35mph+ cause using 4th at 35mph was like 2k rpms. I like saving gas. The 3:75s I have in my moser 9" I like. Not too much shifting but enough to keep me moving through the gears at a nice pace. My 4:56s were hella fun in my 9" but those pretty much required 28" drag radials. Kinda hard to run a street wheel(17"+) on the street without having an ugly big tire on it.

If you plan on having any track time, go with something besides a 12 bolt.
