i considered it but when you weigh the flexibility and support of the stock pcm's it was a no brainer. buy hpt or efi and feel the love. megasquirt looks really good if you have little options but it's hard to argue with the general.

What he said. I built a megasquirt and ended up getting a stock PCM and harness, its just a lot easier and its OEM. Look at the results from HP tuners and EFI live and you'll see. Unless you really like tinkering, the oem ecu is the way to go. GM put a LOT of R&D into it and its great we can use it.

x3

I run a MS on one of my other projects and I can say that it works but for this application, the stock PCM has many capabilities using HPT.

I like my Ms. It does everying I need it to. And still has way more options left. Boost control, fan control, anti lag etc.... I don't really have any experience with hpt. Does it have the capability to auto tune your air fuel ratio off of a wideban o2 input?

Ms2 and micro squirt and gpio board can all be used to control 4l60 and 80e trannys. Can be tied to ms3 on can bus. They may add the whole thing to ms3.

Can you set up 2 or 3 step launch limiters with hpt?
