alternator voltage is 18V!!! just got my car out and noticed while driving it my volts jump up to 18 volts intermittently as opposed to the 13.8-14.3 it should normally sit at. it seems to only fluxuate between normal voltage and high voltage temporarily and then return to normal voltage. i replaced my alternator with a new one (not reman) last year so it's less than a year old. i suspect a faulty voltage regulator, but has anyone else had a similar problem or any other opinions?
