Default Monster Clutch Problems? Bad Slave????

I have a Monster 3 and Tick MC. Anyone have any problems with their Monster? Iv had mine about 2 years, 7,000+ miles, 200+ 6500 Clutch Drops. Never once a problem. Back to back runs with no slip. The car has been great and now all of a sudden Im having a very hard time getting it out of gear and into gears. Even under normal driving. The car goes into reverse just fine. (while driving like a normal person) If I hold the pedal to the floor for about 2 seconds I can get it out of gear and into another, but if I try to shift hard or fast I get it out of gear or into the next. I put nitrous on car about 2 weeks ago, and only sprayed it on the dyno. On the dyno the car seemed to have a dip and some chatter, and we seem to think it might be slipping. I personally dont think so, but now that Im having issues driving it, Im wondering if so. Im hoping its just the hydros but does anyone know the life expectancy of a Monster 3 that gets used the way it should?

Well Got the tranny out......

Fingers are a little bent?

I'm interested in what shape your slave is in. Maybe it's not releasing the clutch all the way.

Does a slave just slowly go bad or does it work or not work? I took it to the track last night and had a hell of a time. Adj the master all night, as soon as Id get to the line, Clutch to the floor, try to bring up the RPMs on the or get in the 2 step..the car just jumps forward..hard to get into reverse, cant hit gears to save my life...I think Im pulling the tranny to see how the clutch looks and going to put a slave in it. Im lost with Hydros lol...

sounds very much like a hydraulic issue. get it resolved and save your clutch. driving my Monster Stage 5 for about 15k miles now and loving it.

Still interested in the slave. I dropped my trans just to replace the slave and decided to do the clutch as well. Just waiting on the rest of the funds to order.

Did you bleed the hydros and flush new fluid in. It does sound like a hydro issue. Maybe ask tick if they had failures with there MC it maybe slowly bypassing internally.

**** going thru the same thing. Noticed all of a sudden takes more adjustment to get normal function, but it fails the clutch drag test. Car movrs forward with the clutch pedal down and even out 19 turns!

My gripe is that I've only daily driven it. It's seen maybe 9k miles and 1.5 years.

On a simple 3k clutch dump, car did not like it. Pedal went weird like easy to push like stock and clutch was not disengaging. Had to tow car. On pulling the transmission, which was 100x harder to get out, found the pressure plate with all forks more bent in, not giving me any release and the clutch stuck on the flywheel. Pics coming in another thread. Hydros did not fail, slave looked good.

Slade, what clutch are you running? With the master adjusted out that far it surprises me that you didn't blow the slave, but probably is the culprit of the bent teeth.
