So i got a flowmaster exhaust from deedub with kooks headers, no cats, and a x-pipe, the drone while cruising and idle is killing me! I love it when I am on it but when I am just trying to get around it is just too much.

So i think hi-flow cats will help with the sound maybe? Idk this is my first exhaust setup i usually leave my cars quiet so any ideas on how to fix the drone issue?

Or! I will trade you my exhaust for yours, especially for magnaflow,borla, or corsa with cash on my end for the right exhaust!

Getting rid of the flowmasters whould help your drone considerably. Magnaflow will quiet it down and still sound good when wide open.

The cheapest solution would definitely be to try different mufflers. Lord knows there are plenty of options out there. Which Flowmasters are on it now?

I agree. Have an exhaust shop weld on some Magnaflows. That will help a lot.

I have Flowmaster Super 44 on my Raptor and the drone at 2k RPM is annoying.

Have the Flowmasters cut off the current pipes and Magnaflows of appropriate dimensions installed. You may want to consider adding cats to further reduce resonance.

Remove Flowmasters. Dyno proven to lose hp. Install some magnaflows. my ls2 goat has long tubes, no cats, x and magnaflows. no drone at all. sounds amazing at higher rpms.

I got mind drone at 1500rpm with long tubes, no cats, and magnaflow cat back with x pipe.

Weld in some cones before you spend money on changing mufflers. They go in the tips and are relatively cheap.

Flowmasters sound great on 5.0 mustangs, but I have never been able to get over the terrible drone. As everyone has said, ditch the flowmasters. You may want to query the board and find people near you that have exhausts that you might be interested in. This would be a good way to hear what others are saying first hand.

I got two magnaflow knock off mufflers i took off my V, if your interested. Sound exactly the same as the magnaflows, no drone once so ever
