Default Nology complete ignition upgrade

I was flipping through a copy of Sport Truck and saw this ignition upgrade for GM Vortec 4.8/5.3/6.0 trucks.I've never heard of ignition problems in LS1 based motors, this setup has got to be expensive,What do you guys think? Is it a total waste of money or what?

I think it is a waste. For the minimal gains that may or may not be possible from such an ignition upgrade, I think it is total overkill. Plus, think of all the 700 and 800 hp cars running around with bone stock ignition. Well maybe aftermarket wires and plugs.

some high horsepower cars use the truck coils, but that is the only main upgrade
