Billet shafts
At what point do you start to need billet shafts on a T56 F-body. And yes i know this is kind of a wide question. Making 450-470 on motor now and will be running the bottle latter on 12.5 slicks down the road. Spec 5 clutch to hold the power.

So is it worth going with a 30 spline shaft at this point. Looking on the RPM transmissions web site and there viper 30 spline mainshaft but dont know if i am at that point or not yet and for 600 bucks.

Slicks, spray and that power level - you'll break it at the speedo gear retaining clip groove(s) and then you'll be ready for the Chrysler 30 spline shaft.
If the car has downtime anyway, a refresh of the wear parts and the 30 spline are a pretty painless (except to the wallet) way to prevent future damage. Make sure you get the 30 spline shaft shortened to correct length, a new slip yoke on your driveline and check your bearing preload while in there. That'll get you some good wear for a while.
