Need help from a new driver
Well, i'm 17 and new in the automotive world. I've always wanted a 4th Generation Trans Am since i was little and i want to save up to buy one. Right now i have a "handmedowned" 1998 Chrysler Cirrus LXi. I've been looking around at prices and they range from 5 grand all the way to 30 grand for a Firehawk. I would love to have a V8 Ws6 model. what is the cheapest they run for? Would i have enough experience driving to handle a V8? Thank you!

Can you afford the insurance? I got my '02 Z28 for 10,500 with 19k miles on it last summer. Obviously a WS6 would go for a bit more depending on mileage. Price depends on a lot of things and no, you probably don't have the experience for a high powered rear wheel drive car but again, that depends.

everyone said i didnt have enough experience, im 17 also, but i sure as hell proved them wrong! if you arent going to drive like an idiot all the time, you will be fine, my insurance didnt go up to bad, 120 bucks a month, and i have a clean record. no tickets no accidents. so you decide if its what YOU want to do.

Okay so scratch the Ws6 then. If i get a regular LS1 V8 model how much would that be? Lets saayy 50k-100k miles. Insurance is covered my dad said he would cover it IF i bought the car in whole on my own. I also have a clean record so far and TRUST me i will respect the car. I've wanted one of these for years haha.

as far as experience, it doesnt matter if your 16 or 80 years old, everyone has their first time with a V8! I didn't know how to drive a manual when i bought my '01 SS camaro 6-speed but i learned quick and can promise you i will never regret getting this car; but if your a speed demon, be prepared to cough up a lot of gas $$$

The cheapest ls1 f-body's seem to be the 98 z28's. I bought mine for $5500 with 90,000 miles. You just have to be patient and look constantly until you find a good deal. The ws6 and ss are always more expensive even though anybody who is not a jackass knows all ls1 f-body's are practically the same damn thing.
