I recently got a 2006 lq4, it came from a 2006 H2 Hummer. It came with complete including dbw tb and stock wiring harness, minus the tac, pedal, and o2 sensors.

I have a computer with the service numbers 12586242 - hardware number 12583660 on it which i looked up to be for a- 2004 C/K-TRUCK, LM7. It looks like this ecu will not work with dbc and I have read about issues with the dbw in the different years, even the 2003-2004 from the 2005-2006.

When I got this computer I was told it was from a Hummer H2 and by the looks of it, is this saying it came in the trucks and the lm7 that year? So this one could have actually been from the H2 just would be a 2004 not 2006?


I am wondering what tac and pedal I should search for to make this set up from the 2006 lq4 work with this ecu which looks like it was from a 2004? (or is it best off to find another computer that would be from the same year?)

242 is a drive by wire computer. There were green/blue pcms used for drive by cable but they were only used on 2004 GTO and some express vans from that same year.

You can use 12589161 for DBC, it is a DBW ECU but has support for IAC and TPS. This ECU can be found in Express Vans and some trucks

So will the computer I have not work with the 2006 dbw and harness? I understand that if I want dbc then the other computer is needed but if I keep dbw will this computer work with the 2006 Tb and harness and which pedal and tac computer would I need.

I would just get a TAC and pedal from a 2004-5 Chevy truck. They're easy to come by and fairly inexpensive

Should any of those maf work or would it need to be from a 04 to match the computer

Any 1999 through 2005 5 wire MAF should work
