i was curious about how the gen 5 engine cover attaches to the motor.

more specifically, would it fit over a ls1 with a fast 90mm manifold and stock 98 corvette rails (return style)? im tinkering with ideas of how to hide the top end and nitrous setup on my engine:secret2:.

They hide nitous kits very well.

The cover needs a bracket that attaches to the fuel rail on one side and then the fuel rail bracket on the other at the back. Then it snaps onto a post like any normal FRC in the front and finally the oil cap holds it down as well.

so if i had the right parts, i could just bolt in some brackets and snap it in without any custom mods?

i would love to be able to hide my fast intake and solenoids/plate for more of a sleeper look. even though the cover is kind of lame looking IMO lol.

I took mine off and put it in the attic, the day I brought it home from the dealership. I don't care for the looks of it myself.

did you happen to remove and keep the rear bracket and the valve cover stud? if so do you feel like selling it really cheap :)

anyone have a picture of what the OEM cover looks like? when i google pictures i see 15 different versions of the cover and cant tell which cover is OEM.
