Default Throttle cable/TB issue (ls3 into f body, w pics)

So my 402/ls3 setup just got finished, and im working out all the 'little details' now. Here's the issue:

The SLP ls3 throttle cable bracket puts the stock throttle up so high, that when @ WOT theres enough room for the cable to jump the groove in the PTM 95mm TB.

TB @ rest:

TB @ WOT (note the slack, ignore the gloved hand):

Here's a better view of the slack, i grabbed the cable all the way at the end of the plastic line and pulled forward, everything between my finger and the bracket is slack:

Here's what happened the other day while driving:

We tried putting a cotter pin at the top of the TB groove but then the blade opens to like 30%, i figure I could put one lower down to allow for more blade travel, but the more there is the more likelihood that the cable will pop out.

Has anyone else experienced this? Im wondering if i should be looking at other throttle cables (lokar/earlier fbody), or another bracket (sdpc, itd be my 2nd from them), or if I should be trying to put another pin in the maf.

In response to the PM you sent one of our guys, this is what I would consider. It is more pricey than what you have, but I believe it might help your situation.

PM Replied. Don't have any installed pics, but I can bolt one up to an intake and take a picture of that, if that would help any.

I got a Lokar Throttle cable and bracket and fabbed up my plate of it...I like it because it is adjustable.. The cable was $55 and the bracket was $30...

sorry that don't help your situation now but i figured I would share what I did for a cable throttle body on a LS3 intake...

This same thing happened to me the other day after doing a wot run. I have ls3/ptm 92, and slp bracket. The bracket seems too high. I tried to shim my gas pedal to get some slack out. It helped a little, but the cable still seems to want to pop off at wot.

exactly what im dealing with; ive got the SDPC bracket on the way from beau so ill let you know how it goes.

it looked like the drill/pin method may have worked, but if this bracket solves the problem itll mean not compromising any of the looks of the tb.

Let me know how it works out for you. If this solves the problem, post some installed pics so we can use them in the future.

Thanks again!!!

Beau don't you guys make a metal version of the bracket? I tried finding it on your website but no luck!
