Default Went to the track today...

I have a 99 Camaro SS with an A4, 2800 yank, GMS MAF, free mods, SLP Lid, HPP3, TSP 224R 224/224, .581"/.581", 114 LSA, Pacesetter LT's and ORY, with a Borla with no plates.
I ran the 1/8 today for the first time since I got the cam and headers installed. Before I ran 8.13 @ 86 mph. Today I ran a 7.96 @ 90 mph. I have to say I am a little disappointed in the times. I was hoping for at least a 7.8x or 7.7x. my best times are:

R/T .771
60' 1.782
1/8 7.960
MPH 89.61

R/T .811
60' 1.837
1/8 7.982
MPH 90.24

I might could have launched a little harder but I am on the stock F1's.
Are my times inline or should I have picked up more?

those times are great for being on f1's

they are good for a low 12 like a 12.2 or 12.3

mph looks about right IMO et is a little low but 1/8 and 1/4 times are different...different gearing is needed to match the track and such...besides the cam and headers are gonna help you mainly at the top end of the track no in the first 1/2 even if you only picked up another 2mph over what you wouldve before in the last half you couldve run around 114-115 in the 1/4

Nice times....I would have expected them to be a little better once you got a few mods, but did you get it tuned? If not you could prolly pick up a lot of power. CAM and Raleigh does a great job for a good price. I can give you more info if you want. I will loan you some slicks sometime if you want to see if you can get outta the hole a little better. I thought about comming out there today, but I had stuff I really needed to get done....

Congrats on your times. Sounds to me that you need some sticky tires.

Yeah, I was a little disappointed. The good news is that I haven't gotten it tuned yet. Hopefully the tune will help. PM me the name and number of the place that you are talking about for the tune. Are your times on engine alone or did you sprat for those times? Those are times that I am looking for.

An even more depressing fact about my times. I just did a conversion from 1/8 to 1/4. It says I would have run a 12.40 @ 110. I ran a 12.574 @ 108 before a cam and headers! Is this normal?

You can probably pick up 20 or more hp from a good tune and prolly a LOT of time with a tune because of your converter. I will PM you more info later tonight or if you want to email I can send it to you that wayu, but I gotta run right now.
