Default lq4 carb to Fi into a 67 nova wagon.

First let me start by saying that i have a ton of questions. I already have the lq4 Running in my 85 trans am. It is carbed and just running the edelbrock box.

Well I just Bought a 1967 Nova Wagon and im selling all my cars to pour money into this. Im taking the lq4 out of my 85 trans am to put in this. I really want to do it fuel injected this time because its something i have never done and have always wanted to do.

I got a question about harness and computer to use, If im using a stock lq4 shortblock, 5.3 stage 3 TEA heads, and ls1 intake do i want to use a lq4 harness and pcm or and ls1. Im guessing get the lq4 one so it matches the cam and crank sensor. So anyone that can answer this, that would be great.

Also what intake would be better for use with those heads stated above? I rather not spend the $800 on a FAST intake if i dont have too.

Next what are my exhaust options for a 67 nova? Im gonna be running stock subframe for now. Can i just keep using my fbody stock manifolds?

Heres a pic of the car, and ill be starting work on it within the week. I will continue to update this thread.

Looks like a cool project, but please for the love of everything holy don't put an LS1 intake on those nice heads!!! Those are some sweet heads and a FAST intake would work beautifully with them. But if you don't want a FAST intake get an LS6 intake. About $300 and you'll gain a ton over the LS1 intake.

Yes I know I said intake a lot..... intake.

Haha alright yea well the least i will use is a ls6 intake then, maybe if i fall into some money i can splurge for the fast. But not right out of the gates. Thanks for the info, i didnt know that the ls1 intake would choke those heads.

I would use an ls1 harness and not the truck harness since you are using an ls1/6 style intake. The crank and cam sensors should be the same on both motors.

Yes, but there may be a little rewiring for the ect sensor and the throttle body depending on what throttle body setup you use

DAMN RIGHT lol thanks!

On another note, I have a really nice accesory setup on my car right now using truck accesories. Is there anyway to mod my water pump to work like just turning the water pump outlet?
