Default Tailshaft/VSS sensors

Ok so heres what I got. Sold the stocker for scrap (its all it was worth) didnt think to pull the tailshaft because i figured the new tranny would have the right one. Stock tranny was a 97 LT1 style 4l60e, VSS sensor was on the passenger side of the tailshaft. New tranny is a Monster built (before you start the flaming i know... i probably got ripped off but its gonna have to do for now) The tailshaft on it has a round opening thats about 2 inches in diameter (roughly) and on the opposite side of the tranny. Ive basically narrowed it down to i probably have 2 viable options. Put in that style VSS and calibrate the speedo to it, or find another 97 style tailshaft with the correct VSS sensor location. My question is are the reluctors the same? and if so which route would you recomend?

The reluctor is the same for both styles. I think I have a few new housings laying around if you are interested in one. Shoot me a pm if you would like. Vince
