Default Ok, need to know LS1 vs Lt1 job I just did

I just put a water pump in my 96 WS6 what a pain, would this have been any different on a LS1,

Yeah. It'd been done in about 30 minutes with time for a cold beer. Take it from a guy whose had to do the replacement on both engines...GM was thinking about the DIY guys when they designed the LS family motors. Making the switch to LS was the happiest day of my wrench turning life!

An LT1 water pump isnt that bad...take off the air intake, then 3 hoses and 6 bolts?

?? had to take off the air pump too, was told to take the fans out not sure if i had too or it just made it easier

ls1 got reusable gaskets and its cleaner no silicon mess

I had to take my PS pump off the 94 to get at the WP bolts.

Im not sure if you have to take the air pump off I geuss...my car doesn't have one anymore lol
