Default is a ported tb going to mess my tune up????

hello all i have a 98 m6 tr230 cam only car with most boltons. the car has been tuned for the cam already. i want a ported tb. will it affect my tune at all??? i must know before i buy!!! how much could i gain?i already have ls6intake. if i did have to retune (i know my tuner could answer ebtter but im not calling at this hour lol) how much would would that run me about? surely not another $500 right?!?!?!? ok thanks yall

no need to retune IMO, I wouldn't

I ported my TB after my tune and it didn't change how the car acted. It wasn't a fast but I bet it was close after the port. I would just wait till your next mod cuz we all no there will be one

Don't bother tuning it after install. Ported TB should be worth a tad power. I gained 1.3 tenth and 1 MPH in similiar conditions with LS6 and ported TB added to my car(might have been more but I have a descreened MAF that I never changed MAF tables with in tune when screens got chucked)

I'd be very surprised if you gained any power at all, better throttle response maybe.

would i see any benefits of goin to a 85 delphi maf or would my stocker be a better bet. i see mixed reviews

Yes you will gain a little. But you will need a retune with that added. Run a bigger lid with the 85 MM if you can afford it.

If you have the screen in your mass air don't take it out if you are tuned.I took mine out after a tune and it would break up bad.I have a 85 mass air on my car.Got to get it tuned and get the pigtail to hook it up.
