Other lighting options:
1) OEM Headlights – Horrendous light output compared to 99% of other new cars produced today.

2) Sealed beam headlight upgrade (Silverstar) – Marginally better than OEM with slightly better color however light output is still very poor.

3) Sealed Beam Conversion – Allows for more lamp options and typically used with coated halogen bulbs producing better but not ground breaking results. Light output sometimes can be worse depending upon the lamp chosen and the coating on the aftermarket lamp.

4) E-Code Conversion Housings – A costly conversion for “better” conversion housings but still lacking the focus and performance of a projector.

5) Sealed Beam Conversion w/ HID Kit – This has been the popular upgrade with the 98+ Firebirds. While it offers color and, perceivably, the light output they want; the light patterns are very uncontrolled. Many have commented on the beam patterns with these kinds of setups and the light output can be sometimes dangerous for other drivers. Many questions regarding blinding other drivers requires the recommendation to "lower them down" reducing the effectiveness of the headlight system to begin with.

6) Fixed Headlight Conversion – Certainly the most expensive option ($1K+) with questionable performance, fitment and love it or hate it styling. The low beam uses a DOT approved non-projector housing which will not have the performance of a quality projector.

Installation:
An installation CD will be packaged with each kit and if you can install a new headlamp in your car, this will not be much harder. Simple hand tools are the only requirement and will be outlined in the instruction manual so you have just what you need. Tolerances are very tight on these vehicles in the headlight area however these were designed to fit perfectly. The second picture shows that there is plenty of clearance with the front bumper since it appears closer than it really is in the first picture.

Adjustment:
To adjust the lights, it requires no extra work than how you already adjust your factory headlights. Adjusters can be accessed in the same positions as the factory points so no shroud cutting or disassembly is required to adjust the projectors.

Actually I would like to see the 8000k Iceburg Blue and Pure Blue High Beams, I wonder how they would look on my NBM TA.

Any chance of just getting some brackets to mount some projectors in? I already have some projectors and don't want to go to the trouble of making the plates myself..

I will apologize if the GP and ordering process was not clear in the information above. The GP states that kits are built and shipped 3-4 weeks once the GP ends. Your kit was shipped within this time frame.

In order to pass along savings to our customer a group buy allows our suppliers to reduce their pricing because we are purchasing/manufacturing in bulk.

The kit was dropped off at a local Staples which offers UPS pickup. Please recheck the tracking tonight and it should he updated once the driver has picked up the package.

You are welcome to voice your opinion on our service however we have shipped your kit as ordered and within the timeframe indicated in the GP. It would have been ideal to handle this with us directly.

We still have a lot of work to finish on the V2 but its mainly due to available clearance with the front headlight shroud which covers both the low and high beam assembly. We want to make sure there is no permanent mods required for the V2 setup.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by your comment regarding the kit not being plug and play. I understand you had some issues with your kit which were addressed. The original kit does not require any permanent mods to the vehicle. With the V2 we are working on, the primary concern is the best way to seal the assembly but we still do not want any customers to permanently mod their vehicle. The original uses a sealed projector so this is not as critical.

The basic design of the kit is not being altered since this may be an upgrade existing customers would like to purchase without having to buy all new components.

We are still quite a bit away on this and trying a few different projectors which may be a better option.

Are you referring to the 98-02 Camaro or 93-97? We offer kits for both however the 93-97 on limited availability. The 98-02 retrofit option is readily available and we actually have an all chrome set ready to ship if that is what you are looking for.

Any updates on the firebird/trans am lights

The '98-'02 Firebird kit will fit any vehicle with 4703/4701 sealed beams, correct? Is there a bi-xenon option for the low beams on this kit? Also, any chance for a kit for the old quad-lamp 5 3/4 setups (5006/5001 sealed beams)?
