lq4 flywheel fitment problems i have a 2004 lq4 out of a gmc yukon that i am putting into a 1987 grand prix. I am running a 4 speed as that is what my budget will allow. My problem is i bought a flywheel for a 1999 camaro thinking that they were pretty much all the same but when i installed the flywheel i noticed that the starter teeth were engaged with the ring gear already. Is there a starter out there with a shorter nose on it? or is there a flywheel out there with the ring gear on the clutch side of the flywheel? any help would be appreciated.

Ya im sure the starter is fine ive checked that.... Im getting ahold of a truck flywheel too to see if they are any different from the camaro flywheel.
