Service engine soon
I have a 2000 TA and the 'Service Engine Soon' light has come on. I will run the scanner on her tonight, but was just curious if any one knows of any common problems?? Any info will help!

There's a huge list of codes, there's no way anyone will be able to help you without a description of the problem. You're basically saying "my car is broken, what's wrong?" and giving 0 details. The code will ultimately determine what you need to do to fix it though.

I think so... Isn't there 2 sensors on the intake.. If so i'll replace them both while I am at the one. Probably need to replace the intake gaskets also. But, I am not sure exactly what the sensor does, or it's purpose... or if I went a little while before replacing it, would it be alright?

Rbaksi - I was just asking a general question, it's not useless. Usually with F body cars, many of them encounter similar problems...hince to general question. Such a problem that usually occurs is the headlamp 'noise' and the flipping up and down upon lock/unlock and the fog lamps flashing... this is a TYPICAL problem. That's sorta why I was asking to see if there was a given... just like that.

But does it sound like your engine is running fine? Or do you actually have engine knock or any other extra sound coming from the engine?

Yea, but you only have a P0327 right? Not a PO332? I'm not an expert by any means, but it should just be the sensor on the driver's side.

The problem is, the headlight issue is very specific. What you did would be like the equivalent of going to a doctors office, telling them your sick, and then when they ask what's wrong you go "uh...iono". I'm glad you found out what you need, please be more specific next time though.

May as well buy two new knock sensors, and a new knock sensor wiring harness. Follow the intake manifold removal guides and like everybody says, be EXTRA careful around the oil pressure sending unit at the back of the intake manifold.

Well I guess it's good that I realize that I still have a lot to learn, better than acting like a know-it-all ricer. I didn't know the exact location, just that there was a sensor for each bank.
