Convertible Vehicles - Can't wait

Just did a longtubes, ORY, LS6 intake, and 224r cam install on my vert. Today it went to the tuner for a full dyno tune. I am so geeked to get it back. After the long, nasty winter we had here, the weather is FINALLY starting to get nice. Other mods on the car are 3.73's, a 2800 converter, SSRA air intake, SLP lid, SLP subframe connectors, and ebay lower control arms and panhard bar. Next mod will be a set of Nitto 555r drag radials and a torque arm.

Good news/bad news kind of deal. Good? 382rwhp at 6100 and 374rwtq at 4870 with a nice flat torque curve. Bad? A4 was already weak and its time on the chassis dyno has it on death's door. What the hell, its only money. Should be on the road in a week.

nice numbers, sorry about the tranny. Are you going with a built tranny now?

Get a bigger stall too. 2800 is wayy to small for your set up IMO.

Actually I'm happy with the converter for now. The torque curve was flat as a table from 2800 to 6000, so I think the converter will be fine. Not looking for every last tenth either. Should be capable of a mid to high 11 second pass. that's enough for an old fart like myself. Just wanted to know I could kick the tail of any 5.0 Mustang I run across. Getting a trans done by a guy with a fantastic rep for high performance transmissions. He even is used by the factories when they need something special.

Still waitin to get my trans back. Trans guy is one of the best, but doesn't like to be rushed. Got a new Camaro SS from work to drive for the weekend, so it isn't all bad. Its a loaded orange with black stripes. Every option.

Trans is in and we are running! Went and ordered a set of Nitto 555r drag radials. They should be in on Monday. And we FINALLY have some decent weather.

Drag radials are on already! Less than 24 hours. Got a line on a spohn torque arm that I am suposed to get next week. Ordered a powerstick muffler to get rid of the raspy exhaust noise after the LT's and ORY install. Put some miles on it today in the beautiful sunshine.
