i've been happy with my ebay silicone piping, I would use plumbing pipe but i'd probably try and get at least ABS piping - rather then the very thing stuff - the bigger non-PVC (white) pipe isn't going to be rated for as much temperature and might actually deform a bit in a particularly hot engine bay. I'd spend the relatively small amount of cash on some ebay silicone and elbows

The elbow is a 3" street elbow it has a 4" OD at the throttle body (which matches perfect) and a 3.5 OD at the maf side (which also matches perfect). The rubber pieces are 3" flex joints and the straight pipe is 3" pvc which has a 3.5" OD.

hit up ebay and look around

something like http://motors.shop.ebay.com/i.html?_...506.m270.l1313 yields good results.

almost all of them are just buying from the same place and reselling for a few bucks a fitting. watch the shipping - it's where they either win or lose on total cost.

I'm using a k&n cai for 06 gto. Thanks john 67 for the idea! I'm also making an enclosure for the filter to keep as much heat away as possible. My cowl hood is fiberglass...thinking about making it functional!

66 chevelle.

Stan, I hit up Speed Inc.(sponsor). If you go onto their site, Tom the owner has several examples of F-Body cars. The pipes, couplers, clamps come as a package or individually. You can order exactly what you need.
Check out the last few pics in the build, below.
