Default Ly6,l92,vvt?

I have been wanting to swap one of these engines into my 2001 Sierra with a 0411 PCM it seems as though you could use the lengenfelter converter box without even tearing into the block, I know it would be better to swap at least the cam, but I would like to wait until later, I have been told that if the VVT is not plugged in it will run fine, and I have also heard the same with DOD as well, not sure though!

I'm putting a ly6 into my TA. I'm going to be running the box and I'm changing the lifters, trays, cam, and sprocket to a 3bolt. Also changing a ls2 timing cover cam gear and cahin tensioner. There is a sticky in this section on what you need to make the swap. But if you want to keep the vvt I have no idea what you would have to do. But take gid rid of the dod you need to chage the lifter. The lifter for the dod are diffrent than regular ls lifter.

I think what we need is a 2002 northstar engine pcm to run these VVT engines in the early 0411 vehicles I wonder if it would work so you could still use the 24x sytem!
