Camwith that much lift, you need to go with a good dual spring, either from Crane, Patriot, Rev, etc. Don't let anyone talk you into a single spring!
Second, a good set of roller rockers, again, from Crane, Patriot, etc. If you're running on the street, you don't need shaft mounts, it's just more money you'll spend that could go for other parts.
Third, I would suggest a good performance programmer, Crane, Hypertech, etc. One of these will let you get the most out of your new cam.
Have fun!

918s are perfect for that cam. I know guys with bigger cams that have 20K miles on those springs with no issues. Doubles are overkill for that cam, IMO. Depending on your driving habits, track time, rpm range, etc., you could probably get between 20-40K out of 918s on that (TR224) cam. I would use the 772 ti retainers though. Also, I don't see anything wrong with a comp spring, it's all I ever use.
Nothing really wrong with the stock rockers for this setup and general rpm range of that cam. And again, I know quite a few guys with 20-40K on stock rockers with similar cams and no failures.
As far as programming, I would avoid any hypertech programming, waste of money IMO. Get it custom dyno tuned, or buy your own edit. HPP3 is trash, IMO. Go custom, or don't even bother with tuning at all....

One more question-I'm in the DFW area and I saw a price of $300 for dyno tuning-COULD THAT BE RIGHT?
So, either when I put the CAM on or shortly there after I need 918 Valve springs, and ??? anything else? I drive this car daily to/from work....and being a GIRL I'd hate to have any issues on the road b/c I didn't do my set up/installation correctly.
Thanks!

The springs must go in either before or during the cam install. Definitaly don't use the stock springs with that cam. I'd also recommend the comp 772 titainium retainers (meant to work on the 918 springs), and some hardened pushrods. Also, you might want to consider a new timing chain depending on your mileage, and if you ever want to do an oil pump, now would be the time.
Some people don't like the stock timing chain, but I've seen them hold up pretty well. I left mine in, but I also only had 5K miles on it at the time.....

Do this...
1. Call Thunder Racing
2. Tell them what you bought
3. Order the 918 springs that they will recommend
4. Order the matching titanium retainers if you are the nervous type or like to over rev your engine.
5. Order some TR chromemoly 7.400" pushrods if you are the nervous type or like to over rev your engine.
6. Install
7. Dyno tune
Easy as pie.

Get the rods and 918's for sure. If anyone tries to tell you that you need a double spring for that cam they are crazy. I have 918's on an F1 cam 230/226 .591/.569. I've had them on for ~40k miles with no problems. Double springs are for agressive cams with lift over .600. You are in the clear with these for sure. So yeah, springs and rods are it, and a dyno tune would be a good idea, but not necessary.
