Default 243 Head gaskets??

I Just pick up some 243 heads came off a 07 TB with 22k miles for my ls1. my question is i want to bump up compression. they are untouched heads. I will be doing a heads/cam swap but for now the cam will wait. so for now i want to swap the heads. im going to swap out the springs with some lunatti #73925K1LUN .660 lift so i dnt have to do it later while there on the engine, and there pretty cheap for the price. The cam i want to go with is a TSP 224r lsa 114. O also what push rods length will i need for now with my stock cam since they need to be changed? and after the cam swap?

So if you guys can help me out i would appreciate it thxs.

If it's a standard bore LS1 short-block, then yes, 3.910" bore x .040" thick would work great!

If it were me, I would mill the heads and just use a GM MLS gasket. You can run a Cometic .040" gasket but they are about another $90 or so over the GM gaskets. Also, on the pushrods, it will just depend on how much you mill or what gasket you go with. Your best bet is to get a PR length checker and measure. This will ensure you get the right preload the first time. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks!
Jon

Your wasting your time with the heads and still having a stock ls1 cam IMO. And those dual lunati's are overkill for a TR224 cam.

What do you recommend? im been reading alot on here and ive been hearing that comp 918 have been breaking a now pac springs have been breaking also. the reason i wannted to go with lunatti was because havent heard any bad things about them and i thought the extra lift wouldnt stress out the spings at high rpms.
