65 Mustang <5.3,gtk1000,4l80e,tubbed,caged>
Ok so I have a 65 coupe that is in full on fab mode. The car is tubbed, three linked, caged, running an 8.8 with 9" ends, Cobra brakes all around. Just recently purchased an AJE k member/coilover front end that will allow me to get rid of most of the shock towers and swap in a ls motor. Along with that i'll be doing a truck manifold hotside with a BW S400 turbo.
5.3 rundown
stock rotating assembly
king bearings
rings setup for boost
arp rod bolts
victor carb manifold
blowthrough carb
want to see between 12-14 lbs of boost
pics to be taken soon
Has anyone put a t56 into a 65 mustang?

why are you wasting your time with a blow through car when you have a factory fuel injected engine? its going to cost more to convert it to BT carb than it would be to do an efi setup, even with 60 or 80lb injectors. its really not worth the headache IMO.

im actually probly not gonna run the ctsv tranny
as far as the b/t im not sure what im gonna do, i dont really feel like messing with the whole wiring harness thing. i know in the long run it would be better, im focusing on getting the chassis stuff done, then i'll move onto the engine stuff. so far ive just started having the longblock put together

There were a couple, one because the shock towers can be virtually eliminated. Another is because is for some reason I decide on going back to a ford power plant I'll only need to buy new mounts, not a whole new k member. I like the ease of access to late model Ford parts as well. AJE seems to have good customer service too.
