New LS1 Owners - Newbie Tech - tranny problems

i have a 2000 camaro A4 it has been running great i went to go get some gas and when i got back in the car and put it in drive it jumps and when i put it in reverse its fine and when i drive it down the road its shifts fine do yall think something is wrong with my tranny?

Does it make a clunking sound when you put it in Drive?

When's the last time you changed the trans fluid?

I had a trannie problems ounce. Its now under the "river"

i havent changed the fluid i just bought it 2 months ago and the fluid is still really pink

Had similar problem on 1998 trans am. Cost $1400 for tran rebuild

even if the fluid looks clean there can be alot junk in the system.mite be a sticky lock up selinoid.try changing the fluid and filter a couple of times.

So you go from Park to Drive and after you select the gear, it jumps. Well when I used to run 4L60's that could be a trans cable out of adjustment. How are the RPM's at idle, are they elevated for some reason like running 1200 rpms or something?

i have a bit of the same thing right now, shift into gear you can hear a bit of a clunk and thats it drives fine. reverse if u give it gas tho shudders like its a manuel and its stalling. neway not hijacking i changed fluid and filters and cleaned out the tranny didnt change anything so i dont think its there for you bro

its going into drive better now and its not jumping anymore yet i hope it stay like this way. all i did was get in it and gave it hell lol
