Default Speaker install?

I bought a component speaker setup from kee audio last year and I'm just getting around to installing it now. The only question I have is do I need to wire the crossovers that come with the CDT CL-61CV component speakers for the front kick panels. In case it matters this is going in a '98 TA with monsoon.

Thanks to all who help

I don't believe you need to use the crossovers at all, just plug and play with the monsoon speakers.

Hey thanks guys!!! I didn't think I needed to wire up the crossovers so I didn't lol. Anyway the new speakers sound great I love em especially since I had three blown factory speakers. Can't wait to upgrade the HU next!!!

What package did you go with? I am going to be ordering his premium package. I am currently retaining the stock HU - and I will be seeing how it sounds. If I need more - then I will upgrade the HU. I am also doing sound deadening. How much difference was it? Night and day?

Honestly for me it was!!! Like I said I had blown speakers so anything was going to sound better!! Lol. I have owned the car since it was new and I remember the nice country road rides I would take with the tops out blaring TOOL. Ahhh those were the days!! The speakers to me sound much clearer than I can recall the stock ones ever did. And now I have my iPod playing through an fm transmitter and they still sound great!!! I couldn't tell you which package I bought since it was a year ago, but it came with cdt front components, bazooka subs, and Jensen coax for the hatch. IMO I would recommend this upgrade to whoever wants a crisp clear sound without breaking your budget (if you have one) or doesn't want to get into rewiring your whole system.

Then you gave up half your available power. The only way to wire in crossovers is to run both the mids and tweeters off a single channel rather than the two channels the factory setup provides.

Not necessary!! Your cool, I just didn't want anyone to think I was using Jenson product in my packages. I think the only Jenson I have ever used was a flip out touch screen that the customer brought with them. It worked ok and everything but I would've used something else personally.
Jenson speakers are garbage and I wouldn't use those for anything though.

Default Kee audio speakers

Hey guys, I was wondering if someone on here could help me with a problem.
I just installed CDT speakers in my 02 Firehawk, the subs and hatch speakers sound great, the problem is the door speakers CDT cl 61.2 components are not very loud compared to the other speakers. The crossover that came with the speakers was used, was i not supposed to use it? Just for the record I left in the monsoon head unit and amp. The package I have is the one Ian has with HD DVC subs and CDT 4 inchers in the back. Could anyone with more expertise than me help me with this, I think the problem may lie in the crossover being used or not used. By the way these CDT speakers sound very good in these F-bodies. Thanks for any help guys.
