Default Help With Stripped Down Control....LM7 in a Jeep, Very Basic

I just finished building a LM7 based motor for my Jeep Scrambler. I am trying to make this thing as basic from a control standpoint as possible. Here is my current plan.

1. Speed density based control, I really don,t want to run a MAF
2. NO VSS, I am running an oldskool SM465 trans.

I have allot of experience tuning but little with this vintage LS motor, will a P59 controller allow me to run this way? How would you tune/ modify the system to work this way? Is this a waste of time all together and I should just add the MAF and VSS back in?

Any input here would be allot of help.

Thanks

Tim
