Lightbulb Firebird to Trans AM conversion.

I am a newcomer to LS1Tech and am very excited to converse with fellow HP addicts. I recently(two weeks ago) bought a 1999 Firebird with the intention to do a trans am conversion. I haven't done a conversion like this before so I don't know exactly what I will need to change to make the car exact. I bought the LS1 yesterday, but it wont come with harness or pcm. Could someone please tell me where to find a decent priced harness and if it is possible to use a harness from another Chevy v8. Also I want to go with an auto trans, I'm guessing 4l60e is the way? Any help I could get would be greatly appreciated.

theres a conversion section on here that'll give you plenty of info on the motor swap

also search on the exterior swap - several people have put the TA body panels on firebirds

find a wrecked t/a and swap the parts out. just look at junk yards and stuff like that. if it's wrecked you'll need body parts tho, front and back bumper, door badges, and hood if you want ws6. i'd put some nice power leather t/a seats or some sportier looking seats in to. you could just put seat covers on em like i have tho lol. what color you rollin with?

I did a V6 to V8 swap. Read here for mechanical tips/info, and DEFINITELY read the guides I linked to in the first post: https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...ap-w-pics.html
