Default Speedometer calibration

Where can I take my car to get the speedometer re calibrated, its exactly 12 mph off, would help a lot if anyone can help me

Good heavens, you are in the middle of nowhere. That speedo is really off by a lot! Is Jacksonville your closest large city that might have some speedo shops? If so, start checking the yellow pages in that area via Google. You may need a new gear put in there. I had an older Mustang many years ago that was off by 5 mph and a new gear (from the dealer) brought it closer to 2 mph off, which I could live with. Hopefully they still use gears and it isn't all electronic.

easy fix. take apart the dash and take the plastic front piece off the gauge cluster than go for a ride. set cruise control say 60mph via gps take off the needle and re-put it on at 60mph also works if you want to put your speedo out to get out of a speeding ticket.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it's illegal to not have a speedometer

I think he meant you can make the speedometer to say your going slower than you actually are, so you can claim that it's broken and you were unaware of your speed, lol, and of course it was only a joke.
