Default HP tuners question

I have a H/C ls1 Camaro and 75% of the time the car runs great but the other 25% when i am in traffic or come to a stop it will not idle correctly boucing between 400-1200 a couple times until it levels off at 850ish. I have been considering buying HPtuners to try and solve the problem myself. First off any ideas what it could be? Also how long did it take you guys to really be confident in yourself tuning? Is it a pretty simple program or complex?

I bought it and I kinda know how to use it, but not well enough. I feel that withough prior tuning experience, without books or classes you might bite off more than you can chew..

You might be better off getting it tuned or talking to a tuner.. I'm sure many others will chime in and help you out.

It is a big curve but not impossible. If you want to learn it then you will. If you just want your car to run right then pay someone to do it. It is the best in estment I have made but I am a big DIY type of person.
