Default stress cracks

ok so i was taking my car apart yesterday, getting ready for my motor swap.
well i noticed a lot of stress cracks on the tail stock of my trans, right where the torque arm bolts to it. well after i took the TA out i put a jack under the trans to hold it up as i took the cross member off well when i jacked it enough to support the weight i seen the stress crack twist just a little bit, this tells me that my tail stock is really weak.. some one chime in on this and let me know if this is
1. a common problem
2. a easy fix
3. where do i get a new tail section for the trans

1) Yes. The torque arm hooked up to the alum. tailhousing is stupid even considering the rubber bushing.
2) Get an aftermarket crossmember with driveshaft loop for safety and the divorced torque arm attachment.
A new tailhousing + checking the bearing end-play of the countershaft extension are needed. Not tough to do.
3) Take note of all the guys who are sponsors and help out in this forum like TDP, RPM and Tick. They post every week.
