Default 1st stage of drag setup installed w/pics

Drove it around the neighborhood and everything seems to fit just fine. With 20lbs in the tires and absolutely no break in it barely spun in first. So after breaking the tires in and dropping them to mid teens it seems like its going to hook pretty hard hopefully!

Next step is try to find a lighter/smaller front runner that will fit. I'll keep you guys posted as that progresses.

Nice! Wish we had an easy 5 bolt options for tires.

See if you can get some skinny spare tires for the fronts! Ha!

Going to an 8th mile track. Hoping to bust well into the 7's but we'll see.

Those MTs look hot.

You may run into Gene in his white 2009 V. He just did a new lower pulley and is looking for mid 6's. Last year he ran a 6.8 at 104.

CTS spare is 18" and thus more likely to clear the brakes. I also think the GTO uses 12mm wheel studs vs the 14mm on your V, though I'm not 100% on that.

Sick G2 V. Loving that black & stance.

Why'd they go with the chrome trim around the windows? I loved that the G1 Vs have blacked out trim.

In the Impala SS world, people would intentionally black all that out.

Wow thanks for the heads up! CTS-V's V2 do not have a spare, do the V1's?

The regular 2008+ CTS has a spare kit available. It's a 5x4.75" bolt pattern, just like the V2. It is 18x4 or 4.5" or thereabouts. The GTO spare is only 17", I doubt the brakes will fit inside the barrel.

Sweet! Took me a minute to realize that they were Z06 wheels and not the stockers...

Those tires flat out hook. On an un-prepped street with cold tires I was able to pull the front tires on my Thunderbird. They work!
