One of my best friends is stationed there with P3's. He's looking for car people to hang out with aswell

I will be there on the 5th of July. More importantly the car will be there on the 1st of August.

It was the place to hang out for a long time, then the Honda high school idiots migrated over from the McD's side and started acting a fool leaving tire marks in the parking lot, and causing a ruckus; so the po-po started cracking down on loitering in the parking lot. The Fbody club is pretty much dead now. Very few people even log in over there anymore. It seems like every other weekend or so there is some type of car show and or cruise. Got to check with the other clubs to get the exact locations. I have been out of the loop for a minute so I can't provide much help. check out Paradise Cruisers I believe they are still around. Not a one type of car specific club they have all sorts of brands representing.

At walmart is that just f bodies or all types? I have a few buddies that has a mustang and a 350z that we like to cruise... Just looking to find new people

It used to be all types of cars. In all honesty it doesn't really matter what you show up in. Just as long as you aren't a tool its all good. For the most part its just a bunch of gear heads hanging out talking about cars and having a good time. Again I haven't done any cruises or shows for a long time so maybe it has changed.

it'll be sick if/when ever that place is finalized

its been 5 yrs. almost 6 since our track closed.in the meantime its the streets.leaves us with no options.so hopefully this will come true next year.

I called krp the other day and the guy there told me they need a million to a mil and a half to build it and he laughed when I asked so I think it's still a while yet... He also said that some of the profit from sand drags and the events at krp are goin towards the track...x

the pavement is there already its part of the existing runway.only need lighting/bleachers/toilets and other elec. stuff.sandrags has nothing to do with the track.totally a separate venue and personnel.

thiers a motorcycle shop by sand island road by pennys local food place.cant remember the name just ask around in that area and they will tell you.use to fill up thier before.might have to purchase my own refill sta. down the road and once the track opens sometime next year.I have hook ups at aire liquid to purchase those big n2o bottles and fill my own bottles and maybe sell some.

Schofield has a hobby shop. I think the Whitmore Village one is nicer though. Its off of Kam highway going from Wahiawa going towards North Shore, before you get to the Dole plantation.

Didn't know you could ship vehicles with Space A.. Are you PCSing here? Talk to your base TMO and ask for a vehicle drop off location near you and you can get your car shipped via a private carrier, (Matson). Mine took about a month to get here from St. Louis, MO. It came in dirty but no scratches or any damage.

I know where some reapers race on the weekend, but I can't post it up here. Anyaways, I won't have my car out til next weekend. I'm tearing down and installing the mayhem 2 can kit, lunatic gold valve train, ls7 lifters, oil pump , headers etc. Here's my car, honk if you see me, hardly ever drive it though.... lol

yes.its been awhile since I installed /cam swap on my 2 fbodys.this time prolly be easier since I have a 2 post lift now.thinkin about keying the crank while Im in there.gotta order pushrods/springs/locks and seals.

Ha ha, I hear that. Yesterday i started my cam install. I'm down to the block now. Dropping off my heads first thing this morning, for a cleaning and valve job. Today I'll chase all the threads, change the oil pump, chain and cam,maybe get the steering rack back in. Paint some stuff. Have to have it back together Thurs for a trip to tune on Fri.

SlammedC5 - glad to see you're not one of the yuppies. Too many Vette owners have a 12 year old car with 2000 miles on it and expect to sell for what they bought it for, or think it's pointless to change anything on the car.

Not a fan of the GTO. I did like the G8, saw the Holden Commodore in Australia and they had some that looked MEAN. :burn:

Doing the install themselves? If it's an A&A I can give a few tips on the install

Got my cam done yestersay. Took about 4 days. Had PM&E do a valve job when the heads were off. Need a ttune real bad no one is available for weeks

:hail: AMSperformance should be heading back to Hawaii soon. Try to talk with Chris Black, he tuned my supercharger at RAD motorsports last November, after my e-mail tuner left me shy of the mark. AMS is big with the EVO and GT-R crowd but they have picked up the LSX market and are a supporting member on the CorvetteForums.

I would discourage any of the e-mail tunes where they want you to make WOT and datalog on any "closed road". Not many places to get it done and the more you play, the higher the chances of running into HPD.

Have to give credit to RAD motorsports on their Dyno. Smoothest on and off for a car that has low clearance. Had no fear that my car was going to rub the ground or the lift. Ramps onto the lift are like 4 ft long. Car was tuned with the hood down as well ensuring a more realistic number as I will not be driving with the hood open.

I am in no way trying to discredit any of the local shops, I know that some of the guys here have used BSM and will continue to do so with great results. I just chose a tuner that travels. Knowing I will not be in Hawaii for the rest of my life, I needed someone I could meet with if I moved back to the mainland or Europe.

Thanks for the tips Ryan. The thing that suckss, no one can tune me for a while. I want to drive the car. Lol. The guy in texas that I bought the stuff from has installed and tuned many mayhem cams. I'm thinking of getting a mail order tune from him. He just asked me what mods i had and said he has files for the exact cars. So I image the tune would be pretty close. At the end of summer I'm going to do a fast or harrop intake and a little tweaking to the exhaust so maybe book a dyno time then.
I would rather not remove the pcm and send it out. Brian at recart racing could email me the file but I have no clue how to, or what cords I would need to load it into my car.

You can buy the HPTuners or EFILive Autotap software and load the tune yourself if your tuner uses those programs. Really easy to do. You could have your tuner send you a video or look it up on YouTube how to load the tune. You could order a spare computer and have your tuner load that one, then swap it out when it shows up on your doorstep.

Congrats at least dont have to ship your car anymore.same here lived here since 1993 and never left.BSM is backed up I think plus they be gone for a week or two starting this week.try stopby at the shop the following weekend.talk to Bode or Jake.shop is busy with customers cars.just trying to help.

527 is the number you've been looking for. A little research and you would have seen what the average was for a stock manifold LS2. Nothing out of the ordinary, should be 550-560 with headers.

I went with the T-trim because it was more efficient and was a $300 upgrade at the time. It will make more power than an S-trim when the boost is turned up because it won't work as hard and the IATs should be lower.

I plan to order jet hot coated headers, and a pulley when I get back. I might do a cam swap, but I'm not sure. I'll also be converting to SD as well when Chris heads back out this fall.

You need to install you headers, you've had them so long I think they might be returning to nature.;)

Given a choice between a FAST and a Harrop, I would, without a doubt, go with the Harrop ITB. THEY LOOK BAD ASS!

Not sure if I have any pics of the car. It's just a black C6 with chrome wheels and black flags. Nothing out of the ordinary. Car has been parked since the middle of Feb. Depending on when you got to the island, you may or may not have seen it.

I'll let you know when the tuner shows up. There is another tuner that shows up every summer, big name on Corvette Forums Ch_ckC0W. I have seen some engine failures that were claimed to be a result of the tune as well as some info from other longtime LS tuners that questioned his way of tuning. As a result, I chose to go with AMS, their cars speak for them.

ahh gotcha.turn the boost up and youll be in the 600 range.sounds like you need to upgrade to a fast 102 intake setup too.

My wife has a twin turbo AWD 6 speed BMW 535xi wagon. Of coarse i dropped it 2 inches and put 19s on it, intake and exhaust. I've been trying to talk her into getting a 2012 D3 caddy wagon.

not much only one side friend worked on the tire shop where I go for install and balance of course its free got the hook ups double stack the stick on weights.should be done this weekend.was paranoid with my old 4ply tires in there this new ones are 8 ply brand new.I feel better doing high speed runs on you know where these days.

alright guys heres the run down. LSX Reapers are meeting at the big NEX parking lot by te tax trailer by 0945am this sunday. From there will cruise to the staging area where everyone else from the island is going. This is a paradise cruisers sponsored cruise. Slammed c5 can chime in on this because he knows more about the area we will be cruising. I know its going to go around the island. Good chance to hang out with some fellow car guys and check out some badass rides. 35 ss tell the guys you hang with to meet up with us so the GM presence will be more then the stangs lol.

Tell whoever you know, this hasn't been planned for very long, and only posted on paradise cruisers site. No flyers where pasted out or anything. Like Trey said,meet some new gear heads, eat some food, get out and drive. Some good photo ops too. Here's from the site.

Summer is in the air, and the weather has been great! Time to polish those rides and come on out and cruise! For this summer's first cruise, we're gonna hit up the east side of the island. Meet up will be at 10:30 am at Kaka'ako Park. We'll roll out around 11:00... or close to it... you know how we do! LOL From Kaka'ako, we'll cruise down Ala Moana and a quick trip through Waikiki. Then we'll hit up Triangle Park for our first stop. After that we'll head down Kalaniana'ole and make a stop at Sandy's. From there, we'll head around Makapu'u to Waimanalo for a late lunch stop at the shopping center with Jack in the Box and Dave's Ice Cream. From there, we'll finish strong up and over H3 and finsih up under the freeway at Stadium Mall. Should be a great cruise with lots of great photo ops. Hope to see you all there!

both camaros are running.not yet just taking out stock cam and sticking in my blower cam and pinning the crank getting ready for the blower.A&A T trim kit.should be enough.that silver Z06 with y`all lsx reaper sticker is blown already.he should be a contender.that blk. Z06 with the APR wing should take care of it.still gotta finish my front conversion on the vette.it should be a ZR1 clone when I get done.too many projects.

Heard the silver c6zo6 was in gettin a blower cam and supercharger right after the hawaii kai car cruise last month. Wonder if its done yet.
Maybe next year i'll have to step up to the sts twin turbo, works well with the cam i already have. Going on a trip to europe with our family of 5, or i would do it now!

well guys...don't look like i'll be out much for quite a while...went to take my car to work on Mon. and found out my engine has developed a knock....haven't had a chance to tear into it yet to pinpoint the cause...but i'm pretty sure i spun a bearing....gonna buy a new shortblock with forged internals here in the near future...
