The intake manifold needs to be moved back 3/8" but the oil pressure sensor is in the way...
Any ideas? Not going to cut/weld the manifold.

I would use a 45 degree fitting, that would place it right under the manifold and out of the way.

I'd angle-cut the tower, rotate the cut piece 180° and reweld it. Wouldn't tkae much of an angle to move the sensor out of the way...

That sensor has a real thin plastic diaphram in it. Welding will ruin it.

I went to a local speed shop who stocked an entire array of fittings, took some time to find what I needed for the task I had to deal with at the time. It has to be out there, jegs or summit with all their AN fittings should have something.

Not welding the sensor, just the "tower" part of the valley cover! Did you see the cut-line on the reposted pic? My cover is currently bagged and stored, but IIRC that "tower" looking thing is just that. An extra long tube that the sensor screws into.

Any updates?

I've seen that same sensor and its an LS2 sensor, it has a different connector then the LS1... if this does work someone let me know I'm in a big hurry and have this same issue!

I just saw that. Three electrodes, not one.


EDIT: i've been reading that the reason for the three electrodes is for a ground, and fuel pump cut off.

doesn't fit mine.

Well I've been looking into adapters all damn day without any success so what I want to do is drill and tap the boss on the oil filter housing. If anyone has any reason why I shouldn't do this please let me know right now cause I'm doing it.

So I'm going to drill it, tap it and get an adapter as I think its too small for the original sensor to thread in *there isn't enough metal there to tap it out to M16 thread*. So I'll let you know how this work.

any advice would help!

pictures? I'll try and post some up of my solution aswell. The 90* wouldn't have worked for me as I had no direction to orientate mine without it running into something.
