Rattling from speaker behind driver seat I'll preface this by saying I know nothing about car audio. I noticed a bad rattle coming from the 6" speaker behind the driver's seat. Am I correct in presuming that this is the subwoofer? I disconnected it, and the rattling went away. I'm guessing this speaker is dead and needs to be replaced.
What I'm wondering is, is this one of those situations where you can get an aftermarket replacement that performs better for less than the price of getting an OEM replacement from the dealer? I'm not an audiophile, I just want the system to sound as good or better than it did before this speaker began acting up. I'd like to spend less than $100 fixing this if possible, and keep the fabrication or modifying of mounts to a minimum.

Kee Audio (a sponsor here) has Bazooka 6.5" DVC subs that are bolt-in replacements for the factor sail panel subs for $109 per pair. You'll have to use the connectors off the factory speakers but that's easy. They sound much better than the stock speakers.

Wow, that is the first video I have seen of this. I have of course seen it in person though too many times just nobody has ever filmed it as far as I know.
I can help you with that no problem! You will sound much better with a pair of Bazookas in there. They have the correct dual voice coils like stock and a much better design for optimal output.

How easy or difficult is it to replace the stock Monsoon 6.5 speaker at the back seat (2002 Trans Am) with a Bazooka 6.5? The four wires coming off the Monsoon meet at a single connector. If the Bazooka isn't pre-wired with the same connector, what would I do to physically connect the Bazooka to the existing connector?
I've never replaced a car speaker before, so the more you can spell it out for me, the more likely I'll be able to understand. Thanks.

Not difficult at all, but watch those tabs for the grille panels back there, because they like to tear speaker surrounds. Ask me how I know
