Default idle problem any ideas

not sure where to post this for sure. but my car has started to not want to idle down when it warms up. it will come down to about 2000 and hang there for alittle bit, also when im crusing down the road it doesnt slow down when u let off the gas just stays the same speed pretty much. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this

use carb cleaner or an unlit propane torch. spray it around any vac line you can find (don't forget to check the map sensor in the back of the intake) and listen for a change in idle. also pull your maf and iac and see if it's caked with crap. if so try cleaning them.

I had the same problem and it was the pvc boot. It was not obvious either that it was the pvc boot until I went to remove the pvc and the entire boot was so dry rotted it just crumbled.
