Default DIY Ceramic Coating?

Has anyone ever used any DIY products on their headers? If so how was the quality?

If the headers were used and slightly rusted, have them sandblasted and
try Eastwood co. manifold paint. They have different colors now and they
recommend one coat only w/ sponge brush.

i have used the Eastwood manifold paint on rusty manifolds applying with a sponge and they have held up for 2 years.they look great and saved me from buying ceramic coated headers for my 50 merc show car

Eastwood manifold paint = FTW
Used it on my old headers and still looked good till the day i passed them on to a friend.

look at techline coatings, i just did my turbo and down pipe with there turbo-x coating
and the nice part is its cures on the car from exhaust heat, so no baking required

Thats a good product. Plus the Mrs. doesn't get mad when you are trying to bake your exhaust parts in her oven
