i have a ls1 going into a 68 camaro and will be purchasing dynatech headers for it,the car has no heater box and im not sure if its gonna be auto or 6 speed yet but it has a stock f body oil pan on it now and plan on keeping it that way,has anyone used these headers and if so which mounts and how far does the engine sit back or forward compared to stock also i am using a corvette accessory set up with the factory ac set up but will be going vintage air but gonna leave the pump it the factory location so will the crossmember need to be notched any help is appreciated thanks again pictures will be great

DSE mounts. I spoke with Jim @ DynaTech and he told me they mocked up the headers with the DES mounts... That is the combo I have. They are very nice and fit really good. ..Now I have NOT mocked up the engine yet (Car still in body shop HELL!) but we should be in the next week. I will let you know then.

The motor in mine was put in with home fab mounts to put motor in stock location and the fitment is excellent. They hang about 1/2 inch below subframe and there is plenty of room for setback.Mine is a 400 turbo so I cant speak for a manual transmission.
