Ign timing question
I am running a carbed 427 ci ls3. It used to be a ct525. With the ct525 the max total timing that I could run was 28 deg on 91 octane fuel. This was right on the edge with that engine. Now with the 427 it uses dished pistons and my compression is down a little to 10.4 from 10.7. The cam is fairly mild @ 234/238 .604/604 112 +3 from the ct525@ 226/236 .525/.525 110l/c. In theory I should have to run a little more advance from the dished piston and slightly lower compression. Anyone have any experience with a combo like this?
