Default What is cags??????

I did the m6 swap on my car and I am about to order this harness on ebay. But it says if I want cags to let them know. Do I need it? The computer is off being reflashed now.

It stands for Computer Assisted Gear Selection. It forces you to shift from 1st to 4th under slow acceleration. Mine has been disabled, and I've heard of many other having theirs disabled. I doubt I'd ever want CAGS, but Ive never used it (mine was disabled when I bought the car), so I don't know if it's as annoying as I imagine.

If you are getting flashed have the tuner turn it off. Along with the VATS, 2nd O2's, Canister relays and a few other things. The tuner will have suggestions -talk to him. In the meantime you can bridge that stuff out easily with the right resistors. Many posts in these forums as to how to do.

You will hate that damn cags! I know I did in my old camaro. It basically blocks second gear under normal driving conditions, its the worst.

The Gayness connector is on the passenger side of the trans. It connects to the big blocking solenoid. I might have it mixed up with the reverse lockout but you'll get the idea when you look there. Just leave it unplugged and resistor it out & you'll be fine.
