Did you not have to do some light bending (tapping in the header) for the drivers side with OBX to clear the steering?

No problems, what so ever. Like I said 100% happy. Install was as easy as it gets. Doesn't rub or have any clearance issues. As fas as getting them connected to the catback, I went down to my exhaust shop had had them weld on a collector flange, threw some new bolts in it, done deal.

I have vids, but why do you think they sound different? Lol all this non kooks skepticism kills me lol....

I tapped on mine a little just based on what others were saying, but after installing I realized it probably wasn't necessary. I couldn't be happier with them. I think motor mounts may be whats making the difference it fitment. There is some difference between LS2 and LS6 because on mine the o2 sensors had plenty of slack and others with LS2 said they weren't long enough. I don't know man, just get some headers and get them on. I haven't seen any threads that read " I got headers and they're depressing me"

I'm with everyone else...happy as can be! Haven't had a single problem with them and the install went very smoothly! Just dont forget the additional flange connectors to bolt up to the exhaust in stock location.

How are they holding up in an office setting? Do you think they could withstand 8-10 weeks in my workout room?

Seriously though... How much is evryone paying for the pacesetter's?

There seems to be a lot of pro kooks/obx reviews on the other blogs but I'M with V4me as far as just getting something. I am getting PS's and having them coated in/out and will have 1/2 the $ of Kooks in them. Any headers are better than cast manifolds and will move the heat out. If you are tuning for every last available horsey it might make a difference. If not, it don't matter.

^^^haters. I've got them. No clearance issues. The only install issues I had were some modifying of the dipstick mount (which may be the case for all header installs?) and I should have used a 2" O2 extension because I think streching the harness caused a cam position sensor issue.

Sounds great and who knows...maybe I did miss out on a couple of horses^^^

.....but it was enough to get me to 520/520

I bought mine on Amazon for $447 shipped, that was coated headers and the connection pipes. That is the cheapest I have seen them at least.

What size would be best? 1-3/4 or 1-7/8. I'm only going to do this mod and no other mods down the road. Mostly stock. I can get some obx for a OK price. Brand new but they are 1-7/8. I do track my car some. road course. Either one will end up adding power right?

1 3/4 is fine...1 7/8 would be for a car with heads/cam or blower...I would guess a intake only car would loose some torque down low with 1 7/8 but I can't say for sure.

If you are on a budget there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with Pacesetter's or OBX's. I have Pacesetter's and as mentioned above I had to grind down about a 1/4" from the dipstick tube mount, I see that happening with every header tho. I've had mine on all winter (no snow) and they still look great. They are warm to the touch in 10 as well. Install was fine, and for the price you simply can't beat them, bottom line. Done deal. End of thread. lol

where's everyone buying them from? Amazon the best you think or somewhere like summit? I was going thru different websites and found I think 3 or 4 different sets of headers all in about the same price range. Here they are for everyone else who's on a budget like myself;
Doug's Ceramic Coated Headers $461
Dynatech Ceramic coated $479
Pacesetter's Armor coated $489

I had pacesetter's on my F150 for 100,000 mi and never had a single problem with them and they weren't even ceramic coated just painted. So I know what to expect with them. The others I have no Idea what to expect. Another question I had on this subject. What kind of gaskets are y'all using with your headers? There's nothing worse then a pain in the *** gasket that doesn't want to seal up correctly. I'm a one and done kind of guy and I don't care how much the gaskets cost as long as they do the job and I never have to touch them again.

Amazon. And use OEM LS1 gaskets, not LS6.
