Default Tinting Windows

Well, today is the day, im going to attempt to tint the hatch window. I'm going to take the entire hatch off to do it. i was told take some warm soapy water and then start from the center and squeegy (sp?) out the water when the tint is laid on. Should be interesting

ummmm, did you ever tint windows before?, the back hatch isnt the hardest thing to do but I had to cut mine in 3 peices, I've seen alot of them done in 5 peices, you cant see the lines in the pic but if you look up close in person you can see some real small(straight) lines going across, I did this w/ the hatch on also, but I've been doing tint for about 10 years............ damn thats a long time

CHeck out tintdude.com. I tinted my windows a few weeks ago. It was my first time tinting, used one piece on the rear window. I heat shrunk the tint and it looks like a professional job. Tons of info at that site. Hope this helps.

If you've never done a rear hatch on an f-body, you're probably going to have trouble. It's best to heat shrink one large piece. I hate seeing multiple pieces on a rear window.

I've been using Llumar film for 12 years, and it's great stuff. BTW, you're making it harder than it is if you're taking the hatch off the car to do it.
