Stereo & Electronics - Reversed factory radio volume control?

I've never had this happen before, but suddenly the volume control on my factory cd radio reverses itself sometimes. Every once in awhile when I turn the volume up it lowers and when I lower it it goes up. Anyone have any ideas?

On my 99 SS, I felt like the radio was very touchy. Sometimes I would want to turn it up just a little bit, and I would turn the knob to turn it up, and it would turn it down a little bit, so then I would turn the knob more, but then it would get too loud and then I would have to turn it down. It didn't bother me too much since I didn't listen to the radio that often.

Common problem. Go to electronics store and buy tuner cleaner. Take off the knob and spray along the shaft etc. as best you can. Will fix it.

BTW - When you get a cleaner, make sure its safe for plastics. (Some aren't.)
